The True Eternal Oil of Israel and the World

The True Eternal Oil of Israel and the World

(Leviticus Chapter 24 verse:  [2] Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.)

Matthew Chapter 26 verse: [45] Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Matthew Chapter 27 verses: [1] When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
[2] And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

Matthew Chapter 27 verse: [35] And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

The true eternal oil of Israel that burns continuously as directed by G-d is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua) (Isaiah Chapter 53 verse: [5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.)

It was through his passion was the pure olive oil obtained from the land of Israel to burn continuously as directed in Leviticus 24:2. It has been provided to the world for the light of the world. This light is not hidden from the world but shines on high for all to see (Isaiah Chapter 60 verse: [19] The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.)

As partakers in the fatness of the land of Israel and therefore inheritors of all that it holds, we are to partake of the fat of the Lamb of G-d continuously as a sign of our inheritance (Romans Chapter 11 verses:[16] For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. [17] And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree….;

The continuous task of our inheritance is to faithfully believe in the truth of Christ’s (Yeshua’s) purpose here on earth (Matthew Chapter 5 verse [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.) (Luke Chapter 24 verse: [44] And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.)

We are to partake of the life giving waters provided by him ( John Chapter 4 verse: [14] But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

The Messiah (Yeshua) of Israel and the world is he who paid the ultimate price for the salvation of those who G-d has given him (John Chapter 17).

He defeated death and holds the keys to eternal life for all of creation. His ascension to his rightful place and rulership beside G-d the father is his reward for his faithful obedience unto to death. (1 Peter Chapter 3 verse: [22] Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

In Christ Jesus (Yeshua) do we see a shining example and should imitate his life and ministry, as it is our blue print for the Messianic directive to all disciples, The Great Commission. (Mark Chapter 16 verses: [15] And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

The Road of Faithfulness is paved with the Word of G-d.

 Leviticus Chapter 24-1-9 (KJV)

[1] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
[2] Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.
[3] Without the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.
[4] He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.
[5] And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.
[6] And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the LORD.
[7] And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
[8] Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
[9] And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.

As an everlasting covenant for the children of Israel, as carried out by Aaron and his sons of the Levitical priesthood, so it applies to us,  that we should partake of Christ, the bread of life, through the daily intake of the scriptures.

This will create and increase our faith (Rom 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”). From day to day, Sabbath to Sabbath, shall we partake of the bread of life until given leave of doing it.

We shall study the word of G-d meditating and applying it to our lives daily (2 Tim 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”)

In praise do we show faithfulness (Psalms 34:1 “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”).

In obedience do we show we love Christ and hate the world (Rom 1:5 “By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name.” )

In keeping the Sabbath do we show we love the law and hate the world (Exodus 20:8 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”).

The Power of Praise

This past work week was powerfully full of attacks. I was really under a tremendous amount of stress and I just had to remember the basics of becoming a believer in our Savior.  I had to praise my way through the battle and let Jesus handle it all. As a result of keeping my mind on Jesus, I created this blog. It all started as I was lying on the couch and watching a sermon on t.v. It was a powerful sermon just for me. It spoke directly to my situation and I was so blessed by it. As I lay there watching, I felt the joy of the words of the bible spring up in me. (John 7:38) He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. It was wonderful. I wrote for the first time in my new blog that day on…. What I Believe In.

This is exactly what praise is in my opinion. I took my mind off of my worries and put them totally on my Savior. I bragged about how wonderfully powerful G-d is and how much he loves each of us.  As I did this I felt the weight of the world lift off of me and there was a peace I had forgotten about.  It returned to me quite simply by praising G-d. I turned my attention off of my problems and worries and turned to Jesus. It was absolutley wonderful.

How can the Power of Praise fight for you? Quite simply by exercising faith which some don’t undestand to be an action by focusing on Jesus. It is the act of faithing.  You actively turn over your life to Christ by exercising faith in what he says and tells you is true.  For instance, do you believe what Christ says in the Beatitudes, literally?  I do. Here they are:

  1. [3] Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
  2. [4] Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
  3. [5] Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
  4. [6] Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
  5. [7] Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
  6. [8] Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
  7. [9] Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
  8. [10] Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
  9. [11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

For me what Jesus is speaking to directly is the down trodden events and circumstances that literally rob of us our Joy and peace which is established through him.  We can be overcome by all of these events and discouraged. But Jesus is telling us to hold on because he knows we are bombarded by lifes turmoils. But he tells us to exercise faith in His words of life, joy and salvation. He is promising us that all will be just fine. We will see justice and righteousness prevail and all wrongs made right.

So you ask, but how can we wait for this? Well, you don’t have to wait that long if you praise Him right here and right now. Praise him in the middle of your daily storms. How? Sing a favorite hymnal. Recite your favorite scripture. Talk to someone about your love for Christ. Thank the Father for your small blessings and mean it. Help someone, anyone. Tell someone about the power of G-d in your life. Volunteer in your local church. Simply pray believing that what you ask for you will receive. All of this works.

For instance, even though the last week was hard for me, I do remember having a few days in that week were I felt blessed and at peace in the middle of the storm of the work week. But somehow, somewhere, I let go of my praise and as sure as I did, the weight returned and the negative thoughts, the fear and anxiety. All at once mind you. But as I sought relief, and began to go with the rising up of the spirit of G-d in me, I began to write about (praise) G-d.

Do you see how easily our thoughts drift off to the world and its issues? I had found peace and had not consciously kept meditating on the things of G-d. And wham! I was overcome. So, meditation of the things of G-d are paramount to maintain a peace in the middle of the storms of life as well as the days when nothing is rattling our cages.

I have a daily routine that I do. I pray certain scripture because I believe these particular scripture help me to remember my sinful nature and most importantly remember the mercies and goodness of G-d.  They are 2 Samuel 24:14, Psalms 23, and 6 or 25. I do this in conjunction with daily scripture reading of course.  I understand and identify with these particular ones. In other words, as I came across them in my study of scripture, I found that I could identify with them in one way or another. Psalm 23 reminds me my particular relationship with Christ and my inheritance because Christ is head of my life. 2 Samuel reminds me to prefer G-d as my disciplinarian instead of man. I know that as a child of G-d, his mercies are great and his judgements are righteous. So, I prefer his discipline over mans any day. Psalm 6 or 25 are prayers of contrition. I know I am sinful in thought and deed and am totally at the mercy of G-d. So I confess this truth daily and ask for his protection, forgiveness and mercy.

All of what I am speaking of in my understanding to date is Faithing. Practicing my faith towards my Lord and Savior Jesus through daily praise in one form or another.  No, I am not perfect, so like you, I must remember to praise G-d daily and not just when things are going wrong.  This blog is my act of Faithing because I am sharing my testimony of the mercy, grace and truths of Jesus in my life. He delivered me from the clutches of this world and was glad to do so. All I had to do was seek Him and he came to my aid.  How wonderful is that.

Lord G-d, I thank you for your love towards me. Thank you for giving me a way to get back to the peace that lies in your word. You made your word flesh and He walked the earth. Jesus possesses the keys to eternal life and has invited me into his life. I thank you for allowing me to partake of the promises and blessings of Abraham and drink from the fountain of Life through Jesus. It is in His name that I pray, Amen.

Til next time: I love you with the love of Christ who died for you and me.

What do you believe in?

Well, I believe in a lot of things but the most importantly I believe inthe G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob (Israel). I also believe that Yeshua (Jesus to most) is the only son of G-d). With that said, I believe in the truth of the Tenach (Old Testament) and the Gospel of Jesus ( New Testament). But much of what I believe, people tend to shy away from.

I believe this is because the bible shines a really big light on the sinfulness of each of us. It exposes our deepest darkest thoughts and desires. Now, if we shy away from the bible it is because it exposes us totally to the Father with us being aware of it. None of us can hide who we are from Him.

What I am saying is this. When you were a kid and you did something you knew your parents would not approve of, you tried to hide it right? Keep it from them, correct? I know I did. This is what the bible does to us at any age and at any stage in our lives.  It reveals to our intellect the knowledge of who we really are to ourselves and we become aware of being seen totally by G-d. Why does the bible  have such power? It is because it is the infallible word of he who created all that you see and all of us!! He gives us a standard of living to live according too. No if ands or buts about it.  He has expectations just as your parents or guardians have but his are much higher than theirs.

So your reaction to it is expected by G-d because he knows you inside and out and what I mean by that is this, he knew you before you were born and how mankind would behave. But, he still wants you to know he loves you and wants you to be blessed and live, grow and learn about him. He wants you to discover him.

A good example of the creator and how you can see his personality and his power is in his creations. Study his creations. This is called science to most of us. Science is the study of what G-d has created and through this we can peel away the very layers of who G-d is and his awesome power and intellect.

Study you say, well I don’t want to be a scientist or a doctor or something like that. Well, you don’t have too. Open your eyes look in a mirror and study you. You were beautifully designed by G-d through a process scientists have discovered to occur in your mothers womb upon conception. Every inch of you is a direct result of the intellect of G-d the creator. You have been specifically designed by him. He knows every hair on your head and has numbered them all. Jesus tells us this in Matthew Chapter 30 verse 10. Read the whole chapter it is quite beautiful. So don’t you dare believe that you were a mistake. No you were designed and purposefully so. No accidents, not unwanted, G-d wanted you and now you are here as proof that the choice your mother (he gives us a choice to please him you see) made to have you was a good choice, nope no accident at all.

I digressed… back to my original point of believing in G-d the creator.

You see the Spirit of G-d was there in the beginning surveying the nothingness before he made something of it that we can relate to. He literally created light and separated it from darkness thus giving us a way to mark the time using evening and the morning as our indicators of a day. Genesis 1:1-8.

It is important to understand which came first, the egg or the chicken? Neither. G-d came first and then he created all that you see. Genesis Chapter 1.

Now that you have that understanding somewhat firmly established. What was one of the indicators of the love and hope G-d expressed through his creations and how did he separate man from his first creations?

You can read in Genesis Chapter 1, the establishment of a hierarchy. G-d created man in his image and gave dominion over his creations to man. So he set man in charge of all that he had created. Look at verses 26 and 27.

The reasons I believe in the bible and not in any particular denomination of Christianity orJudaism is because in all of G-d’s wisdom and knowlege of his creations, he teaches me my place in this universe.  He tells all of us this, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. How humbling is that!

This reminds me that I am His, and so are you. So beautifully are we designed. We are not drones that do our creators bidding mindlessly, but he in his wisdom gives us the right to choose. So with that comes great responsibility. We are responsible for our own lives, our relationship with him and our choices and we must take responsibility for them. So don’t you go around thinking that you belong just to you. Nope, you belong to the creator. And believe it or not, he has a plan for your life and mine. But you cannot find that plan and its details if you don’t ask him.  So how do you find out? It is simple, at least the first step is.

You have to get on your knees and say, ” Father in heaven who has created all and who gave his son Yeshua (Jesus) for the sins of the world, come into my life. Jesus, I want a relationship with you and I need you because I am lost without you and your love. I believe you died for me and in doing so, I belong to you fully. Teach me how to talk to you and the Father, teach me how to recognize the Holy Spirit. Teach me how to receive your love and live a life pleasing unto you. It is in Jesus’s name that I pray this prayer. Amen.

Next pick up your bible, and start to read atleast one chapter each day. Pray everyday that you will understand the bible. You pray by opening up your heart to G-d and speaking to him in humility and truth and sincerity. You don’t need to have known him before but you need to want him now. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No one can get to the Father except through Jesus. So pray that the Holy Spirit will stay with you and teach you. Be consistent and diligent in your conversation with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Ask all the questions you can and expect to be shown the answers through his word, the bible.

Next, find a church or synagogue that teaches the completeness of the bible. Go to bible study ( a great to find out the heart of a congregation). Some say, I dont like to go to church/synagogue, these people are this or that. Listen and listen really good. YOU are not going to church/synagogue for the people if you decide to go. You go to be encouraged by hearing the word of G-d. It builds faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of G-d.  So no excuses, ok!

Reading the bible, prayer and some interaction with like minded people is necessary when you live in a world that bombards you with everything contrary to G-d. But do it in wisdom. So pray for wisdom too!

Til we speak again.  I love you with the love of Jesus who loved us all and gave his life for us!!!!
